3. decembrī svinīgajā The Baltic Market Awards ceremonijā tika nosaukti un apbalvoti NASDAQ OMX Baltijas biržu uzņēmumi ar labākajām investoru attiecībām 2008. gadā. AS Grindeks saņēma visaugstāko novērtējumu un balvu Baltijā.
Publicly available information in English about 68 listed companies has been evaluated for the period from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008 within the project The Baltic Market Awards. Companies have been evaluated by more than 100 criteria including quality of annual financial statements and interim statements, company’s reports to the stock exchange, company’s homepage and experts’ evaluation.
Latvian company SAF Tehnika was awarded for the Best investor relations in the Baltic Countries. VST was awarded for The Best Annual Report in the Baltic States, but Eesti Ehitus – For the most visible improvement over the year in the Baltic Countries. Baltika was announced for The best investor relations in Tallinn Stock Exchange, but in the Vilnius Stock exchange – TEO LT.
Evaluation Committee “The Baltic Market Awards” included representatives of the mass media, investors, academics and the Baltic Stock exchanges. The company analysis was conducted by students from the Riga High School of Economics in accordance with the special methods under supervision of the Evaluation Committee and the Baltic Stock Exchanges.

Projekta The Baltic Market Awards ietvaros tika izvērtēta 68 Baltijas biržās kotēto uzņēmumu publiski pieejamā informācija angļu valodā laika periodā no 2007. gada 1. jūlija līdz 2008. gada 30. jūnijam. Uzņēmumi tika vērtēti pēc vairāk nekā 100 kritērijiem, to skaitā pēc gada pārskatu un starpperiodu pārskatu kvalitātes, uzņēmuma paziņojumiem biržai, uzņēmuma mājas lapas un ekspertu vērtējuma.
Galveno balvu par labākajām investoru attiecībām Baltijas valstīs saņēma Latvijas uzņēmums SAF Tehnika. Par labāko gada pārskatu apbalvots uzņēmums VST, bet par lielāko progresu gada laikā – Eesti Ehitus. Labākās investoru attiecības Tallinas fondu biržā bijušas uzņēmumam Baltika, bet Viļņas fondu biržā – TEO LT.
“The Baltic Market Awards” vērtēšanas komitejā bija plašsaziņas līdzekļu, akadēmisko aprindu, institucionālo investoru un Baltijas biržu vadības pārstāvji. Uzņēmumu informāciju analizēja Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskolas studenti atbilstoši īpaši izstrādātai metodoloģijai Baltijas biržu un vērtēšanas komisijas pārraudzībā.
