Changes have taken place in the Management Board of JSC Grindeks – Jānis Romanovskis has been appointed as the company’s Chairman of the Board.
Romanovskis’ connection with Grindeks dates back to 2003, when he first assumed the role of Chief Finance and Administrative Officer. From 2007 to 2011, he served as Chairman of the Board, and in 2016 he returned to the company as a Board Member and Chief Finance Officer, holding these positions until 12 June 2024.
Kirovs Lipmans, Chairman of the Council of JSC Grindeks, stated: “We have chosen a professional with deep expertise in financial matters, who has an excellent understanding of all administrative processes within Grindeks. At this time, it is particularly important to improve financial flows and successfully continue all the company’s development directions – expanding the product portfolio and strengthening the company’s position in European and global markets.”

We also inform you that, as of 12 August 2025, Dr. chem. Juris Hmeļņickis will step down from his role as Chairman of the Board of JSC Grindeks and from the Board of the subsidiary Kalceks. He has held the position of Chairman of the Board for two full terms. At present, the Council of JSC Grindeks has decided to pursue a different strategic direction.
Andrejs Liberts, Director of the Commercial Department, will continue his work on the Grindeks Management Board.
In the subsidiary Kalceks, the Management Board will continue to be led by CEO Diāna Stepiņa-Gauja, and from 8 August, Ivo Zvirbulis will also serve as a Member of the Board.
