The 10th “Annual Medical Award” this year will take place on September 17 at the cinema “Splendid Palace”. Grindeks’ highest professional award for significant contribution to medicine and pharmacy – D. H. Grindel Award will be granted during the event.
The event organised by Latvian Medical Association will be attended by President of Latvia Egils Levits and the First Lady Andra Levite, Speaker of the Saeima Inara Murniece, Minister of Health Ilze Vinkele, as well as other officials and entrepreneurs.
This year the “Annual Medical Award” will be presented in 14 nominations: “Family Doctor of the Year”, “Doctor Specialist of the Year”, “Dentist of the Year”, “Assistant of the Year”, “Pharmacist of the Year”, “Nurse of the Year”, “Obstetrician of the Year”, “Functional Specialist of the Year”, “Young Doctor of the Year”, “Hospital of the Year”, Person of the Year in Medicine”, “Event of the Year in Medicine”, “Award of the Year for Lifetime Contribution to Medicine” and “Lecturer of the Year”, as well as special awards from Ministry of Health and LMA’s magazine “Ārsts.lv”.
