Today, on November 14, the Latvian Olympic Committee celebrated the 30th anniversary of its restoration at the ceremony held in the Latvian Sport Museum and it was solemnly announced that JSC Grindeks and Latvian Olympic Committee (LOC) have started a partnership by Grindeks becoming a sponsor of LOC.
During the next Olympic cycle of Tokyo 2020, JSC Grindeks has authority to use the graphic identity of LOC and Latvian Olympic team and to place company ads at Olympic centres in Latvia. The partnership is valid until the end of 2020.
„This is a truly meaningful moment, as not only we celebrate Latvia’s centenary and 30th anniversary of LOC’s restoration, but we also proudly announce that supporters of Latvian Olympic movement are now joined by the company of Latvian, Baltic and global scale – JSC Grindeks,” the president of LOC Aldons Vrublevskis, expressed his gratification about the new partnership. “Latvian Olympic Committee is pleased that the leader of Latvian pharmaceutical industry has chosen the leader of sports industry. Support provided by Grindeks will be distributed to several directions – not only it will help our athletes to better prepare for Olympics and other major competitions, but also it will boost activity in the major and most active Olympic sports centres in Latvia – Daugavpils, Liepaja, Valmiera, Ventspils and Riga.”
Kirovs Lipmans, the Chairman of the Grindeks Supervisory council, praised the new partnership with LOC and noted: “We are truly delighted to become a part of an Olympic movement and to support our greatest athletes in one of the most responsible moments of their careers – in the moment, when together with individual performance they are entrusted to represent the name of Latvia in the international arena. At the same time, we want to encourage society to adapt healthy and sporty lifestyle, as strong health forms the basis that makes every win achievable!”
JSC Grindeks is an international pharmaceutical group with four subsidiaries in Latvia, Estonia, and Slovakia. Last year company’s productions were exported to 77 countries. Today, during the solemn ceremony, LOC expressed gratitude to Grindeks for finding the opportunity and desire to become a sponsor of LOC and the LOC president Aldons Vrublevskis presented a certificate to Kirovs Lipmans, major shareholder and Chairman of the Grindeks Supervisory council and also member of LOC Executive committee, which confirms that JSC Grindeks has become a LOC sponsor in 2018.
