The Environmental Monitoring Laboratory is a structural unit of Grindeks, accredited by the Latvijas Nacionālā akreditācijas birojs (LATAK) as a testing laboratory since 2012.
The laboratory operates under a quality management system compliant with LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017. As part of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, it also follows company-wide management systems aligned with LVS EN ISO 9001, LVS EN ISO 14001, LVS OHSAS 45001, and LVS EN ISO 50001 standards.
The mission of the Environmental Control Laboratory is to provide reliable, high-quality assessment of occupational environmental risk factors — both for internal company needs and for external clients.

Physical risk assessments:
- Workplace noise measurement
- Lighting/illumination assessment at workstations
- Indoor environmental measurements (air temperature, relative humidity, air velocity)
Chemical Risk Assessments
- Determination of total mass concentration of highly active substance dust in workplace air
- Measurement of solvent and volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations
- Indoor carbon dioxide (CO₂) monitoring
- Dust concentration measurements using gravimetric methods
