On 9 December 2010 in the contest \u201cExport and Innovation Award 2010\u201d organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia the JSC Grindeks was awarded the prize \u201cLeading Exporter\u201d. The applicants in the category \u201cLeading Exporter\u201d were nominated by a jury, on the basis of information on their export activity and their provision for sustainability development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cLeading Exporter\u201d prize was awarded to the main shareholder of Grindeks Kirovs Lipmans by the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers, who is the patron of the contest. In his thank-you speech K.Lipmans expressed appreciation to the Government of Latvia and public authorities for enhancing the export opportunities and development of business environment in the country, as well as to the employees of Grindeks: \u201cThis prize goes to all employees of Grindeks \u2013 we have a really great team!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal of the contest \u201cExport and Innovation Award\u201d is to contribute to the competitive capacity of Latvian partnerships in Latvian and in foreign markets, promote growth in the quality and quantity of exports, generate products with high added value, and promote innovation by evaluating the results of the partnerships and identifying successful partnerships and products. The evaluation of the partnerships is carried out in 4 categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In total 100 applications were submitted to the contest this year. The estimation of applicants was held in two rounds, including a visit to the company and evaluation of the presentation on the product or service nominated for the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
