Grindeks\u2019 highest professional award for significant contribution to medicine and pharmacy \u2013 D. H. Grindel Award will be granted during the event.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event organised by Latvian Medical Association will be attended by President of Latvia Egils Levits and the First Lady Andra Levite, Speaker of the Saeima Inara Murniece, Minister of Health Ilze Vinkele, as well as other officials and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year the \u201cAnnual Medical Award\u201d will be presented in 14 nominations: \u201cFamily Doctor of the Year\u201d, \u201cDoctor Specialist of the Year\u201d, \u201cDentist of the Year\u201d, \u201cAssistant of the Year\u201d, \u201cPharmacist of the Year\u201d, \u201cNurse of the Year\u201d, \u201cObstetrician of the Year\u201d, \u201cFunctional Specialist of the Year\u201d, \u201cYoung Doctor of the Year\u201d, \u201cHospital of the Year\u201d, Person of the Year in Medicine\u201d, \u201cEvent of the Year in Medicine\u201d, \u201cAward of the Year for Lifetime Contribution to Medicine\u201d and \u201cLecturer of the Year\u201d, as well as special awards from Ministry of Health and LMA\u2019s magazine \u201c\u0100rsts.lv\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Live broadcast from the ceremony can be watched on LSM.lv and straume.lmt.lv<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 10th \u201cAnnual Medical Award\u201d this year will take place on September 17 at the cinema \u201cSplendid Palace\u201d.
